Eric Dupont is a Canadian author, born in 1970 in Jonquière, Quebec. He studied literature at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), and later obtained a PhD in Comparative Literature from Université de Montréal. Dupont's first novel, "Voleurs de sucre," was published in 1999. He has since written several other novels, including "La fiancée américaine," which won the Prix des libraires du Québec in 2012, and "La route du lilas," which was a finalist for the Governor General's Literary Award in 2017. Dupont's work is known for its whimsical and imaginative style, often blending elements of realism and fantasy to create a unique and captivating world.
